A drink full of benefits: the Detox beet juice (carrots, lime, ginger). Made with a juice extractor, this drink will surprise you with its delicious taste...
Quick to do and so simple... That's what I like most about this kind of juice: we combine several vegetables and fruits to make delicious healthy drinks.
Here the beetroot and carrot bring all their benefits. I accompanied them with a touch of lime and ginger, to energize everything. A drink to do yourself good!
What are the benefits of beet juice?
Its benefits are multiple. First of all, eating raw beetroot in the form of juice allows you to preserve all its nutrients. Raw beetroot contains a lot of vitamins (A, B1, B2, B5, B9, C, E, K). It contains many trace elements like calcium, potassium, manganese, magnesium etc. It is also rich in iron.
Drinking beetroot juice also helps to alkalize the body (often too acidic due to our lifestyle). Beetroot is a food anti-inflammatory. Beet juice is also very good for the liver, it increases its ability to eliminate toxins.
In short, a nice list of benefits that it would be a shame to miss out! Especially when you are preparing a delicious drink made from beetroot juice.

How to make beet juice?
For this beetroot juice recipe (for 2 people), we will mix raw beetroot, carrot, apple, lime and ginger.
The earthy side of beetroot, which we know very well when eating it, fades very well with lime and ginger. Adding a touch of citrus and ginger gives it pep. We also benefit from the benefits of carrot and ginger on thedetox effect.
To make the juice: it's very simple. We put the vegetables/fruits one after the other in the juice extractor without peeling them. On one side, we will collect the pulp. On the other, the juice that we will drink.
Unlike the juicer, the juice extractor spins slowly and maintains a maximum nutrients and vitamins. It really feels like a "pure" juice, a very liquid consistency (unlike creamy smoothies), therefore refreshing and very easy to drink throughout the day.
Another positive point in my opinion, no need to peel them before putting them in the device (subject to having organic products). NB: the citrus peels must be removed, as well as the large apricot or peach-type stones. The glitches can be left.

My opinion on the KitchenAid 5KSM1JA juice extractor
KitchenAid offered to test their accessory juice extractor 5KSM1JA which attaches to my pastry robot. This is exactly what I needed - and it saved me from adding a new appliance to my countertop. It is removable, and that suits me very well!
With this KitchenAid juice extractor, you can make all kinds of vegetable juices, fruit juices (both too), homemade sauces and even jams or jellies thanks to 3 different types of pulp filters supplied with the extractor. For now, I have tested several types of fruit & vegetable juices with the "pulp-free" filter, but when the fruit season arrives I plan to test the special coulis/jam function with the garden harvest (peaches, pears, cherries...).
My assessment: very positive ! I take it out quite often to make homemade juices. Cleaning it is not very complicated, just rinse the parts with water.

Hello Aurélie,
I was impatiently waiting for your article, and I was not disappointed, quite the contrary, you have convinced me: I absolutely need this juice extractor ;-) !!!
Judith Patisse
Hello
I am still hesitant to buy this accessory because the opinions on the sites are a bit opposed.
Some are absolutely delighted, some are happy but find some flaws that don't bother them and others are really unhappy and have returned the item.
Overall, I feel like the opinions are split 1/3 - 1/3 - 1/3
main complaints:
- slow extraction
- difficulty in separating waste and juice, and cleaning
- juice quality (thickness) and extraction efficiency depending on the fruit/vegetable
Could you tell me more after several months of hindsight?
merci beaucoup
Tested with a juice extractor, I keep the recipe, it was very good! (I was a little scared with the beetroot taste but with the lime it balances well)
